Buoy Don’t Float

A site about some of my musings, thoughts, and activities. Hopefully, it’ll help me realize how weird I am in the future.

Tick

Suffocated by perfection.

I hate fucking beauracracy.

In China, they have what is known to westerners as the One-child Policy. It has been put in place as a measure of population control. In my stay in China, I learned how detrimental the One-child Policy actually is.

Simply put by Mr. Tea from Hangzhou, the One-child Policy means that kids have too many parents.

Each child has his mother, father, and two sets of grandparents. Imagine that. How do you take a break from the onslaught of homework to go to the city and treat yourself to some Pizza Hut when you have 6 people ready to prepare you some rice so that you can stay home and focus on your studies? How do you find time to spontaneously open a book like “The World is Flat” when there is so much pressure on you to perform? It just seems like all creativity would be stifled, and life would be so routine.

(I have a sister, her name is Linda Bui. I just find the topic interesting.)
