New Years Resolutions
First off, the current problems that have been delaying resolutions finalizations: sloth. Yeah, THAT sin.
New Years Eve: The people are gathered, beer in hand. The air is lively with laughter. My ears echo as a room brimming with friends proceeds to count down the new year. Five…four…three…two…one…HAPPY NEW YEAR.
Of course, they would have me believe 2006 was a bad year. In truth, it wasn’t. It was a year of reflectance and learning….
But when you look hard enough for cracks in your armor, you’ll find them. So here go my New Years Resolutions–better late than never.
RESOLUTION: So, I’m lazy and have always been lazy. 2006 was a year of low energy: with few loves and commitments, and fewer drives of passion. 2007 should be a year of new commitments and a passionate pursuit of them. Broad and vague, but I really just want to do something worthwhile this year. Writing my resume in 2006, I realized I’ve been having a lot of fun at Cal and at the same time involving myself in many things, but to no activities have I truly dedicated myself to. Among these are bass guitar, website building, programming, drums, and countless others. So, broad and vague as it is, my new years resolution is simply to find something and hang onto it until something good comes out.
At the same time, lets hope I do everything with a fair amount of dedication, like this blog. Oh, and my new domain, ToppleIt.com. Not exactly sure what its going to be yet, but I’m looking into urban gaming or just news type stuff.
