Buoy Don’t Float

Excited to go to China. I need a change of scenery because I’m definitely getting bored and, more disgustingly, unproductive. On the bright side, I’ve had a great deal of fun. The Live 105 BFD concert in NorCal was amazing. Yeah Yeah Yeahs were better than I thought they would be, as was Panic! at the Disco. Karen O has amazing stage presence. My favorite was when she stuck the microphone in her mouth and started screaming with NO HANDS! Like a kid, it was awesome. Panic was just crazy because there were so many teenie boppers around going crazy and I honestly couldn’t breath. I thought I was going to pass out but i stayed, because I didn’t want to give up my front stage spot for when the Yeah Yeah Yeahs played.

The strokes were awesome high as expected. Only problem with strokes was that they don’t headline well. They played like an opening band, thanking AFI all the time. Perhaps bitterness–in my opinion, the strokes are bigger than AFI. They kept admiring AFI, and they just seemed tired. Their music is great as always. Kept getting the image of kids dancing to someday. It’s the weed talking.

AFI was great. Their whole set felt like they were rallying an army. Especially because their songs revolve so much around an everyone-scream-at-the-top-of-your-lungs chorus. As a result, everyone would just chime in and punch the air while the lights would scream, and well, you have a hitleresque image. Hard to explain…

Besides that I’ve just been thinking about playing guitar and learning Chinese. Sadly, not actually realizing those thoughts.

Lots of World Cup watching, NBA finals watching, and DIABLO 2!!!

Caught the underwear run in UCLA. That was inspiring. So many good looking girls there =X Everyone was at least an 8 or above–rare in Berkeley.
